{"id":7407,"date":"2010-02-28T04:46:49","date_gmt":"2010-02-28T11:46:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/julieharrisphotography.com\/blog\/?p=7407"},"modified":"2011-08-30T05:02:36","modified_gmt":"2011-08-30T11:02:36","slug":"lauren-and-bryan%e2%80%99s-denver-engagement-shoot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/julieharrisphotography.com\/blog\/lauren-and-bryan%e2%80%99s-denver-engagement-shoot\/","title":{"rendered":"Lauren and Bryan\u2019s Denver engagement shoot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Long story short, I wrecked my 70-200mm lens at Jesse Daniel and the Reckoning on Thursday night\u2026 So I shot this entire session with a 50mm 1.4 which, although already my very favorite lens,  having to rely on it so heavily during this engagement shoot really reminded me of why it\u2019s my favorite lens.  On top of the amazing shallow depth of field it offers, the 50mm forces a photographer to move.  There is no zooming here\u2014just me, the photographer, moving around with a fixed lens to get the perfect shot.  I love that composition was changed by me getting out of my comfort zone and moving in\u2026. making the images feel even more intimate and romantic.  Speaking of romantic\u2026Lauren and Bryan were wonderful!  I was a little nervous, because Lauren being the spicy little thing that she is, came right out when we met and said, \u201cI don\u2019t want anything cheesy, like\u2026.\u201d referring to some of the shots on my website.  Immediately, I was worried that they would think everything I asked them to do would be \u201ccheesy\u201d.  Luckily,  these two cats are so  much in love, that  they cuddled and \u201cnuzzled\u201d giving me a plethora of beautiful, romantic shots without me having to pose them or ask them to \u201croll on the grass\u201d or \u201cjump in the air\u201d. They also played hard with their exuberant dog, Nala.   We had a riot around Commons Park and landed at Mcloughlin\u2019s for shots of Jameson.  Very good times with Lauren and Bryan and Nala!<\/p>\n<p><a
