If somebody would have told me a year ago that I would be photographing 1 year old birthday parties, I would have rolled my eyes.  It would have seemed like a petty event for a bunch of moms.  But after having a little bean of my own and photographing a friend’s son’s 1st birthday party, I’ve seriously come to LOVE them!  They are certainly NOT petty.  Getting through that first year is no easy feat, and should be celebrated with a big party. Plus, they are a riot!  1st birthday parties are colorful, there are quirky kids running all over the place, and there is cake and usually beer.   Amy brought in a petting zoo for Tommy’s birthday with Pony rides to boot!  It was so much fun… and I can honestly say that if I photographed 1st birthdays for the rest of my life, I’d be pretty siked.  Happy birthday, sweet Tommy!  You are a prince.
