I love working with this family and have been doing so for five years or so. They’re always up for doing something offbeat and different (like doing their annual family photo shoot in funky downtown Lafayette), and I think this shoot not only captures their fun personalities but has a sort of The Royal Tenenbaums aesthetic to it.

And if you haven’t been to Lafayette in a while, you should definitely check it out. There are lots of shops and restaurants and a very walk-able downtown that lends itself to lots of fun and colorful photo ops the year round. Check out Ras Kassas for dinner, a delicious and delightful Ethiopian restaurant that relocated to Lafayette from Boulder a few years ago.
