Meet Little Lyla Oliver…. the most sweet, and petite little 15 month old! She was like a little doll to work with–and so beautiful. I can’t believe I’m even going to say this, because the last thing I want to do is perpetuate the celebrity obsession some of us have, but doesn’t Lyla look just like baby Shilo? Anyhow, it was a wonderful evening at Wash park with the Olivers—and I owe the pleasant, easy shoot to Baby Lyla!
Brooke and Bill were married last Friday at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, and I had the honor of being there to capture all the gorgeous, sweet moments that these two shared with each other and their guests. Brooke was beautiful—simply stunning. I drooled over her dress from Melissa Sweet and seriously would consider renewing my vows just to wear this spectacular gown. Classic and nostalgic, somehow.
Bill didn’t look to bad himself—although he warned me before that he abhors getting his photo taken, so I stuck to catching him in the moment. He’s so in love with Brooke that asking him to tear his eyes away from his lovely bride, would have been a shame. I loved the real emotion at this wedding. It’s so clear that Brook and Bill really love each other…. I walked away very happy and giddy for these two.
Brooke’s sister, Mo was a riot! I loved watching her all day—she really wears her heart on her sleeve…
not a cloud in the sky—and only about 75 degrees. Can you think of better conditions for a lovely mountain ceremony?
I love these next two shots. The first kiss is a “standard” shot that we all have to capture during the ceremony as photographers—but WOW! This is an extraordinarily hot kiss!

Shami and Dan are pregnant—well, actually Shami is pregnant, but they are both enjoying the glow! And truly, Shami is glowing—her skin is luminous and dewy. Is this one of the perks of pregnancy? Can I take a vitamin for this?
I went over to their home and photographed them (on their wedding anniversary) where they had the most lovely, gigantic yard! They also had just had their wood floors re-done, so we had lots of emtpy rooms to play in! It was a wonderful, summer maternity shoot! Happy anniversary, Shami and Dan—I can’t wait to meet the little baby boy when he arrives…
I knew I loved Julie when she contacted me back in January and commented that her favorite word was also plethora, and that she gushed over the movie, Braveheart as much as I do. Then…. when Ryan, the other day said that they would “nuzzle” in the engagement photos, I thought to myself, “I have found my soul-mate couple”. Nuzzle is one of my favorite verbs. We all have so much in common, and I have had so much fun with the two of them so far.
Julie and Ryan are so in love, that they were almost oblivious to me photographing them. They kissed and “nuzzled” the entire hour. I’m so looking forward to their wedding in August at Ten mile station in Breck. I can only imagine that it will be an amazingly emotional event…
Julie and Ryan met at CU, so while they were out visiting from Orange County, they wanted to do an engagement shoot at CU. They spent a lot of time “nuzzling and canoodling” around varsity pound and the anthropology building when they first met—thus the vast architecture shot.
We finished up our shoot at Chautauqua where we found the most serendipitous field of wild poppies….
I had the pleasure of photographing little Annika’s birthday party last Friday in Boulder. She turned 3 and celebrated the day with her entire extended family. We spent a majority of the time taking group photos, but the more natural candid shots were my favorite…. Happy birthday, Annika!
Katie and Geoff tied the knot last Saturday and partied hard at the Ritz Carlton downtown! What a fun couple they are…. Katie is the sweetest, most caring bride I’ve ever met. She was far more concerned that everybody else was doing well and having a good time, than she was about making this “her day”. She was also all emotions! She was so happy all day and ready to marry Geoff that the mention of his name made her eyes swell with tears. I’m so happy for this couple—they really have it going on—and are truly, madly in love.
I love the emotion in Katie and Geoff’s parents in the next three shots. They both have such great families!
We were originally going for the traditional shot of the bride and groom looking through the window of the limo, but as they were getting in, Geoff stepped on Katie’s dress, tripping them both. I love this shot so much more than the planned.
Geoff is a good foot taller than Katie…. I had to show this in a photograph and I love the way it turned out! They are so adorable!
Truly. Francine and John were so urban and edgy, that this session was like a dream shoot for me… we looked for shots in the hidden alleys, empty parking garages, and the seediest bars.
We broke the law for this shot and crossed over to the train tracks by the millenium bridge. I really liked the juxtaposition between these gorgeous yellow wildflowers with the dirty train tracks…. but I guess in the end, what I really liked, were these gorgeous yellow wildflowers! 🙂

We went in to this bar to wait for it to get darker so we could do some night shooting. I fell in love with the place !!! We ended up staying for a budweiser or two… I also snuck in a few personal shots for my own collection.

About a month ago I photographed Manjari and Sameer’s engagement photos. I loved the way they turned out because the colors were so vibrant…
If color is what I was looking for, then Manjari and Sameer’s wedding was their engagement shoot on crack! I was in a constant, color saturated alpha state! And of course, beyond the beautiful colors, I got to work with this beautiful couple again! Manjari took by breath away!
These two are such sweethearts and I loved being a part of this very important day. I learned a lot about Indian traditions and ceremonies—for example, the ceremony is 2 hours long and people are free to get up, walk around and drink punch. I also learned how important family is, which really tugged at my heart strings. I guess I have to say that Manjari and Sameer, and Manjari and Sameer’s wedding has been one of the highlights of my year thus far….
Indian women don’t go light on jewelry for their wedding ceremonies! I was in love with these bracelets—it made me want to play dress up again, and like a little girl, I was just staring at Manjari like she was a princess…
