I connected with Erica and Tim the moment I drove up to their mid-century ranch style home last weekend and walked inside.  Tim is an illustrator and had faux painted Alice in Wonderland images through out their home. And their bedroom was filled with great photos of the two of them laughing and loving eachother and life.  I knew I had a lot to work with, and I did.  Erica and Tim were very comfortable with me just hanging around and documenting this moment in their lives.  I didn’t have to pose them and I didn’t have to direct them.   It was an honor for me to be let into thier home and even though this was the first time I had met them,  I  never felt like a stranger.  I can’t wait to meet little Merrick when he arrives.  The joy in Erica and Tim’s home will be intoxicating!
