Family Photography at Three Pond Park, Cherry Hills Colorado

I loved photographing this family reunion at Three Pond Park in Cherry Hills last fall. There is a level of interaction, intimacy, and candid emotion in these photos that, I think, are kind of rare with multi-generational family reunion photography. Put another way, you don’t have to just line everybody up in a group shot and make everyone say “cheese.” No, there is so much room to capture connection and small magical moments even in larger groups with a wider variety of age groups represented. I think this family reunion shoot shows that emotion and honest moments are abundant even with subject matter that has typically been unimaginative, staid and rather boring.
